Ensure safe access!

Central user and security management

Access to a web application must be secured in such a way that only authorized users have access to the information and functions that are relevant and approved for them.

SpareParts365 manages this for you via a central user and access management system. Users log in with a user name and password. If desired, this can be extended by a so-called “2-factor authentication”, as we know it today from numerous web applications.

The connection to existing access control systems enables “single sign-on”.

  • Catalog selection – e.g. via serial number or product type
  • Catalog display – with drawings, hierarchical parts lists, additional documents, notes
  • Display of 2D drawings (PNG, TIFF, JPEG, SVG) and 3D representations (from STEP or JT)
  • Convenient search and navigation functions
  • Shopping cart
  • Print function
Catalog spare parts search SpareParts365

Find components and documents

  • Search by material number, name or attributes
  • Use of “wildcards”

Shop request SpareParts365

When time is of the essence!

Shop system

With the shop component, the catalog user can order the required spare parts directly: From the shopping cart compiled in the online catalog, the order is generated “at the touch of a button”. It couldn’t be easier! The order is sent as an e-mail to the manufacturer or dealer – on request also via web services, an SAP® interface or another interface. Connection to an existing shop is possible.

Additionals as required

Do your requirements go beyond the existing standard functions? No problem! Our integrated plug-in engine makes it easy to implement connections to other applications, such as ERP, CRM or shop systems. Are you already using a service portal or a shop system, but you are missing the component for spare parts identification? SpareParts365 can be embedded in it as an “iframe”, for example. Other customer or project-specific additional requirements can also be seamlessly integrated.

OCRHotspot

OCRHotspot is a desktop application for the fully automatic or automated generation of hotspots for 2D pixel graphics: A link to the parts list is created for each part of an assembly drawing via the position number and saved in an attribute file including the coordinates.

OCRHotspot desktop application SpareParts365
  • OCR character recognition including font size recognition – fully automatic or interactive
  • Possibility to exclude areas (e.g. drawing frames)
  • Powerful checking functions
  • Recognition and storage of relative coordinates – therefore independent of the resolution of the drawing
  • Generation of the attribute file with the hotspot data in several formats, including XML

Pre processor SpareParts365

Why should I care about data formats!

Individual pre-processors

Like any comparable system, SpareParts365 has import interfaces for filling with data. It is not always easy to provide the data from the existing source systems (e.g. CRM, PLM, PDM, ERP) in a suitable form.

For such cases, we offer the creation of customized pre-processors or converters. All you then have to do is provide data from your source systems, which you can export easily. The pre-processor then takes over all further steps, e.g:

  • Importing the source data
  • Linking of information (e.g. parts list, drawings, documents)
  • Automated generation of hotspots
  • Automated breakdown of a 3D model into the individual assemblies
  • Cleaning up data according to defined rules
  • Generation of valid import files
  • Automatic uploading of data with subsequent release for publication

3D Engine

The direct use of 3D data in the spare parts catalog offers several advantages:

Reduced effort for catalog creation: the creation of 2D derivations, e.g. in the form of exploded views, is no longer required.
Easy recognition and allocation of parts within an assembly by clearly identifying the installation position.
No item numbers in 2D drawings with subsequent hotspot generation, but direct linking of elements in the model with the corresponding parts list items.

SpareParts365 uses the common export formats from CAD systems – STEP and JT – and integrates them directly into the spare parts catalogs using FinalMesh technology (https://www.finalmesh.com).
